10 Ways To Live A Happier Life Part 1

There are a lot of different topics that get covered on this site. Even though it wasn’t a wise “business” decision I think it’s important. A man’s life is made up of many different topics, skills, and, for lack of a better term, things. To focus only one would be limiting, though good for cash flow, SEO, and the like. But limiting to a man’s development.

And because of that I don’t do it. However with the breadth of topics covered I think we can skip over some things. Much of life is about understanding harsh truths and living in accordance with them. Unfortuntely that can often make it seem like there is no goodness or happiness too life, which just isn’t true.

The learning made be harsh or destructive but the fruits that the learning produce are anything but. There can be happiness, peace, and goodness in the world and in your life. Not the world as a whole and not your life as a whole but in certain parts of the world and in what life you have left. Granted you’re willing to learn and understand.

The Path To Happiness

A large goal of what I do here is to lead you to happiness and peace. True fulfillment and all that. Something that is easier said than done. I’m not saying what I lay out is the only path or even a complete one, just that it’s my goal to help lead you to these things, doing the best I can with what I know. Here I wanted to take a break from the necessarily but harsh “doom and gloom” which makes up so much of the world an instead focus on the good things.

Not pie in the sky or ignorant BS but actual true good things. The good things that are worthwhile, stick around, and only grow stronger when exposed to reality. That’s the good things I’m talking about here and I’m starting this by laying ten ways to become a happier person. and live a happier life. A life founded on harsh truth producing peaceful fruit if that makes sense.

Let’s get started.

Way To A Happier Life #1 – Move From The City

If you make over 1,000,000.00$ a year then I’d say you could probably ignore this. Cities can be neat, fun, and wonderous places. However for most people they’re nothing more than misery. You’ve been sold that the city is the best place to live from a young age. From books, movies, and TV shows you’ve learned that the city is the place to be and where everything is happening. It’s where the best jobs, parties, and lives are.

And like pretty much everything else sold on TV and movies it’s a glittering lie. But a lie that has sucked a great many people in and made a great many lives miserable. Man has natural rhythms that he lives by and the more in-tune he can get with those natural rhythms that happier and more peaceful his life will be. The city upends all these natural rhythms. Made needs space and fresh air and breathing room.

Not to fester in a stinking mass of humanity that cares nothing for each other. Cities are bad for mental and physical health as well as spiritual. Again this changes if you make good money and can afford to live in the 1% sections of the city which actually make cities potentially great places to live. However if you’re a “normal” person then I’d encourage you to stay away from the city for peace of mind and the best path to happiness.

Way To A Happier Life #2 – Eat A Natural Diet

Building off what I was saying before when we live unnatural ways we end up with problems. One example of this is an unnatural diet when we’re constantly stuffing ourselves with food and chemicals that was never made to be consumed its going to lead to bad things. Essentially every bad sickness, disease, and disability is on the rise. And while diet is the only factor for this, it’s certainly a big one. Any step you can take to return to a more natural way of living is going to make you happier and be better for you.

What is a natural way of eating? The common advice on this is that is it was food 100 years ago it’s probably okay to eat. Except this doesn’t really work. Everything has been tampered with and manufactured now. A loaf of bread 100 years ago, any kind, and a loaf of bread now, same kind is a world of difference. I mean ideally you’d be able to grow and hunt for your own food but that’s not possible.

Essentially eat meat, veggies, and things that are as close to nature as you can get. There are some fad diets that are better than others I’m not here to tell you which one to do just get closer to natural eating. Me personally I have lots of meat, raw dairy, fermented foods, and veggies. You do what works for you, that’s just what I do. But get closer to a natural way of eating and you’ll be happier.

Way To A Happier Life #3 – Meditate Or Walk In Nature

These are essentially the same things, I mean I get technically they’re not the same thing but they accomplish largely the same goals. Just depending on where you live walks in nature might be hard or compromised and meditation might be easier. And of course there’s nothing saying you can’t do both. But say you’re in a city or suburb then as great as parks can be a huge part of this is to isolation. You want to be alone and let your mind rest.

This is hard to do walking along your street or in a park. You want the silence to wade in on you, surround you. That might sound scary but it’s actually peaceful. To be alone with your thoughts. Which is why meditation is also on here, because walking alone in nature might be impossible for some people. With meditation you can be alone in a room by yourself. Even if there’s other in the house, plug in head phones and focus on your breathing. I recommend mindfulness meditation but others work.

Again the biggest thing is being alone with your thoughts and calming your mind. I think isolation in nature and meditation are the best ways to do this but if you have another way you like or know of then you can do that as well. The path doesn’t matter so much as the effect here. Yoga could work for some as well. Just do what works for you. Just take time to calm your mind and be alone with your thoughts.

Stay Tuned For More

I thought this article would be two parts but am now realizing it might be three. I could put it all together and make one super article, which I think is what all the cool bloggers are doing now, probably great for SEO, but I’m just going to keep this format. Give you “bits” like I usually do without overwhelming you. So take these three things, think of them, and think of how you can apply them to your own life…

Then do so.
