Gods Of The Iron Age

Strength, honor, and victory. To most these words ring hollow and have little to no meaning. It is only to those that live on the outer rims of life that an understanding can be grasped. Only the wolves circling the decaying empire still can have an understanding of such concepts. Modern life for all its conveniences has extinguished that which is truly noble in man. For most of existence mankind has felt that lack of resources is the worst thing to befall man. Yet as a wise man once said we should not fear that which can destroy the body but not the soul.

No, there is a far greater rot. One that keeps the body alive though deformed in many ways but far worse deform the soul of man. And modern man is his infinite foolishness has declared this good and says he lives in the best of time because he has much worthless paper as well as a fat and full belly. He looks down on those fools who came before. How could they have ever lived good lives or been satisfied? After all they didn’t have that greatest of modern virtues given to them, that of convenience.

From Iron To Heroes

The greatest men come from the hottest fire. The iron age will give way to the age of heroes. Though that may not happen in our lifetime or many others. But it does happen in the end, the great Babylon falls and the beast is cast into the pit forevermore. But that is not something we should hold our breathes for. Instead we should work to serve as an example to lay down the path that others may follow and take up from where we left off. To be the fire that was kept kindled during the iron age, that will be the flame that sets everything ablaze in the age of heroes.

This fire is precious and right now vulnerable. The modern world is trying with all of its might to extinguish it offering everything it can think of. Anything to snuff out that fire. Mindless pleasures, conveniences, it knows if it tries to take the fire it will fight back so it must lull it sleep never to emerge again and thereby eliminate it’s threat. It is through pressure, testing, brotherhood, and development of strength that this fire is kept alive and keep burning never the be extinguished. It’s a fire we must carry with us for our entire lives and then pass on to the next generation to eventually bear into the age of heroes.

Keeping The Fire Alive

We have all been entrusted with this sacred and precious fire to bear through this age. We must become the gods of the iron age. The ones that will be looked back on in awe. In the darkest and most soul destroying age they were able to retain their fire, their strength, their honor, their masculinity, their brotherhood, and their godhood. To retain their nobleness, their kingship in the age of peasants. To be one still burning in an age of dull husks. I have offered many ways in which to help keep this fire alive but it is up to you to find your own path forward as we all will keep the fire alive in similar and yet different ways.

As I said the greatest men come from the hottest fires. Anything you can do to expose yourself to a hotter flame without burning up will be to your favor. I know I’m jumping between analogies here but I think you can see what I’m getting at and more importantly what the overall mission and goal is. While practical advice is great it’s also good to look at things from a distant perspective to see the overall goals and path that we must take. Like I said all of our paths are going to be the same and yet unique at the same time.

Guide Others

For now build yourself up, join with others, and lead those who need guidance in the dark. The best way to do this is to live by example, as a matter of fact this is the only way to do this successful. What you say matters little, what you think even less, even what you do for a day doesn’t mean that much, but who you are speaks everything and that is proven through your day to day actions. Now go and stay on the path to become a god of the iron age.
