Your Guide To Achieving Almost Everything You’ve Ever Wanted – Part I

So the above is a pretty bold statement, even with the ‘almost’ as a qualifier. After all the range of wants across humanity is pretty broad. So how can I sit here and say that this is a guide to achieving ‘almost’ everything that you’ve ever wanted? So before going further I should elaborate on this point a little and lay out some qualifying statements.

First off obviously even if you want the impossible, such as gravity to stop through the force of your mind or things of that nature, I can’t help you. Second off understand there are natural limitations. For example if you want to be the next UFC heavyweight champ and you weigh 120 lbs and are 5’6 and 60 years old. Again I cannot help you, no one can.

Just like with everything else in life, a bit of common sense has to be applied here. But as we all know common sense isn’t common. But don’t think that limits you. For example say you want to recover from a debilitating physical or mental illness, or even both. I’m going to show you a good foundation to help move you down that path.

Say you want to strong, smart, and wise after a lifetime of being weak, dumb, and foolish. I can help you with that as well. Say you want to stop struggling financially and start a healthy happy family, I can also help you with that. And so on and so forth. For any ‘realistic’ goal, even if it seems impossible at the moment, I can help you with that.

And I do encourage you to not think anything is impossible when starting out. So let’s lay out some basics.

The Foundational Principles of Achieving Everything That You’ve Ever Wanted

Man is made of three parts, well four if we want to get technical. Speaking in broad terms man has a physical, mental, and spiritual component to him. And for those that are wondering emotional is on the same plane as mental as emotions are a mental function. I’ll add monetary to this, as money plays such a fundamental role in one’s life that it has to be included as well.

Understanding this is key to living the life that you want and of course achieving everything that you’ve ever wanted. Many people excel in one of these parts. Maybe they have great health and are athletic so are succeeding physically but their finances are in shambles. Maybe another has great wealth but his heart and soul are twisting and turning him each and every night. So he’d be monetarily successful but spiritually bankrupt.

And so on and so forth. Our goal here is to get all of these to the right level. To get them all at the level of ‘good’ as opposed to great in one but poor in the other three. Because from a level of ‘good’ in all four we have then built the best foundation for which to build whatever kind of life we want. From there, the world is our oyster as they say.

I understand for some one are or the other may be limited. For example with physical or mental handicaps and therefore what the level of ‘good’ is for one person may be different for another. And for someone with a handicap they’ll have to work harder to even get to a basic level of ‘good’. However with what I’ll lay out here I think you can accomplish far more than you’ve ever been told or believed before.

But you have to give yourself the chance to succeed.

A Word About Mindset & Attitude…

Right now, not later, not in a few minutes, but right now. I want you to make a commitment to getting your mindset right. Everything we talk about from here on out is going to help with that but I want you to make a specific commitment to this. Because here’s the thing. Mindset can take everything opportunity and chance given to you and just sink it. Your mind is powerful and can greatly empower you or be the limiter that keeps you from ever achieving anything.

If you constantly say or think to yourself ‘I’ll never amount to anything’, ‘This will never work for me.’, “I’ll always be stuck just the way I am.” then your mind will automatically screen our any progress you have made or can make. It’ll shut down any development possibilities before you’ve even had a chance. Attitude is paramount to success. Don’t get me wrong, success and getting everything you’ve ever wanted takes more than just a good atittude.

But it’s a guarantee you’ll never accomplish it with a bad attitude.

So again don’t think “Oh, if I just have a good attitude then everything will work out.”. That’s not true and you’re just setting yourself up for failure. Having a good attitude is simply step number one. Having a good attitude is the same as making soil fertile. To have good crops you still have to dig, plant, care for, wait, and harvest to have a successful crop.

It’s the same with success. Likewise having a bad attitude is like dumping tons of bleach all over the ground. Nothing will grow there no matter what. So you need to have a good attitude to get anything from this. It’s not everything but it is the foundation of the foundation. Without a good attitude you’ll never get the four quadrants, physical, mental, spiritual, and monetary wellness right.

It’s the wellspring and a step that so many neglect.

Your First Step

A few paragraphs isn’t going to be enough to change your mindset, especially after a lifetime of negative self talk. I’d recommend looking up resources on self-talk, mindset, and the science of brain wiring. Earl Nightingale is a good place to start with this. See where you’re led from there. For those that seek, shall find, so long as they do not stop seeking.

Next we’ll get into the four quadrants and what it takes to achieve health in them.

Stay tuned.
