What I’ve Learned After Writing Over 1,000 Men’s Self-Improvement Articles

Figured that it was about time for a post such as this one. One where I could look back over the years that I’ve been writing and some insights and such that I can share with you. I also figured I’d do one soon where I went through things that I think differently about now, doing a little bit for each category of the site. But that’ll be on another day for now I want to share what I’ve learned.

First off one thing I can say about running a blog such as this one is that you experiment and stretch yourself a lot more than you would have otherwise. You stretch your mind and really have to think about things that you would have taken granted before. That’s one of the reasons why running a blog like this can be so beneficial, even if the pay isn’t the best, though with some decent sales and copywriting skills that doesn’t have to be.

It’s also been interesting to see how ideologies and ideas have evolved and changed since I’ve been around. The manosphere has “risen and fallen” and will probably do so again. There are alternative forms of political thought that are growing and you see the weird (not always in a bad way) intersection of different types of thinking and ways of living. But that’s beyond the scope of this article. What have I learned.

All Roads Lead To…

Well not Rome, that’s for sure. Or Babylon despite what you may have been told. It’s funny when looking at the world in its current state and you can see that there is a wide swath of people who are utterly and completely miserable (and often crazy). Sure they may have “success” according to the world. They may be a woman in a high powered job who bosses men around all day. They might be a guy making good money banging a different girl every weekend. Or whatever else passes for success.

But they are not happy and they are not fulfilled. The materialist/modernist worldview is literally killing people and it’s all pervasive. It’s pushed by feminists, Communists, and new age believers as well as red pillers, capitalists, and even in many ways evangelicals. And everyone ends up unsatisfied because of it. No, working a high powered job and “succeeding” (there’s that word again) in the world of men will not make you happy as a woman. No being a jacked entrepreneur who bangs a different club slut every other week isn’t going to make you happy as a man either.

Or fulfilled. So much of my writing I found was in reaction to something. So much of it doesn’t seem to do a whole lot of good unless connected to a larger whole. What use is understanding women, being in shape, making good money unless it’s all connected to something greater. Why live a sterile existence? There has to be something more to connect it all to, something greater that brings everything together in its right place.

What Is The Answer

So we know what’s not working the question then is “So what does work…if anything?” and luckily I think the answer has been laid out before us. Not as in right in front of our faces but in literally before us. Before we were born and before the modern order took ascendance. I talked about it in my “Return To Virtue” piece but it goes even deeper than that. Yes virtue is needed but even that alone isn’t enough.

It has to be connected to something higher. Something like the primal/cosmic order or logos as others would call it. But people have to be told why all of this matters. Things like virtue and the like seem to have no application to our world nowadays when it’s exactly what is needed. I’ll admit my thoughts before and articles I’ve written an antithetical to what is needed. The red pill can be just as dangerous and damaging as things like feminism.

Both can serve the same end as well as the same master. Both more often then not leave their adherents angrier and more divided then they were before. What we don’t need is more division of the natural order but more unity and that is something that takes wisdom, courage, and yes character to produce and for good things to happen.

Many Are Called…

But few walk the path. We live in interesting (but not necessarily new, depending on how you want to define that) times. Times that are going to need men possessing the traits that I just listed if good things are to continue and to be saved. Men possessing strength, wisdom, and character or virtue whatever you want to call it. Most are probably caught up in the “things of this world” and that’s understandable.

Most (including me) have to have a handle on such things before they can look at more important things. A man has to often get what he wants before he can focus on getting what he needs. And this is a process that we all have to go through. The issue is when those don’t go through it but get stuck in it. Hence the importance of teaching these things, even (or especially) when they run counter to what the world says.

So what I’ve learned after writing over 1,000 men’s self-improvement articles is that not all that glitters is gold, you have to give a man what he wants before you can give him what he needs, and that virtue is needed above all. And that men should develop wisdom, strength, and character to do “God’s work” (in a true primal/cosmic) sense in this world. And that “God’s” work (again in a primal/cosmic) sense is needed to be done.

If anything I said here interests you I’d highly recommend you check out The Ultimate Alpha Collection which is a compilation of 16 of my books for the price of 5. It covers everything from being a man to making money to getting the right mindset to getting girls to fighting and more and is a resource no man should be without. Pick up your copy today!
