I don’t know if “red pill” is even a word that I want to use anymore. “Red pill” meaning in this case truth, however red pill has grown or devolved might be a better word into a term referring to a very rigid set of beliefs regarding how the world works that only very loosely correlate with reality. That kind of red pill is not what I’m talking about here, what I’m talking about it the red pill in the Matrix sense.
The red pill being the harsh truth over the pleasant lies. You see lots of advice dished out to men on how to lose body fat and build muscle, how to get girls to sleep with them, how to make more cash and have a bigger bank account, how to have confidence and a good mindset, and I think all of that is great. Self-improvement is really the foundation of understanding truth and getting to a place where you can use the truth to live that life you want.
And if you don’t have health, wealth, and girls covered you’re not going to care very much about the many other things going on in the world around you. Like culture, politics, survival, and the like. And this is a shame because to become a complete man, one who understands truth in all things that he cans and is always pursuing the truth, you have to spread beyond girls, money, and six packs.
But there’s a problem.
Why Your Self-Improvement Guru Has To Mislead To You To Make A Living
Self-improvement gurus run into a problem. The truth of the matter is, it doesn’t really take all that much to get a guy to where he needs to be as far as health, money, mindset, and women goes. Honestly with 5 books in each subject a guy is going to be lightyears ahead of the majority of men who have ever lived. With the information in a few key books, if you apply them on a consistent basis over years you could realistically make six figures, bed one hundred women, have an iron will, and be in better shape than ninety percent of guys out there.
If you’re willing to put in the work for days on end. However, that’s a problem for the self-improvement guru. There’s only a handful of things he can sell you, that he can give to you before he’s out and that’s generally not enough to make a living. So what does he have to do? He has to overcomplicate things, has to take little things that make little to no difference and literally write entire books about them. He has to take away your clarity and keep your dependent on him.
That’s why you have guys thinking you need spreadsheets to get laid, that you need these advance courses and topics for basic level stuff. But the truth of the matter is, if you’re a man, and you have your bases covered, then you’re not going to have problem with any of that stuff. Granted that you can get out of your own head and understand you don’t need more.
Some basic information and you’re good. You’re there. Seriously, getting laid is the easiest thing in the world, having a good mindset is a little harder but can still be accomplished relatively quickly, making six figures a little harder than that but still doable. And so on and so forth.
Graduating To That Next Level
Truth of the matter is, most guys who frequent self-improvement sites and buy self-improvement books already have the information they need to have the base levels covered. Now they need to move on to something else, something that will give them a mission in life and get them attached too. Get them fired up and going. And making money or sleeping with money or getting a six pack are not going to do that for a man, as fun as those things are.
You need to expand your awareness, like I’ve said before you have to go beyond that stuff to get to further awareness, expand the red pill, the truth to politics, culture, life itself. Don’t just limit it to “Oh girls like bad boys more than nerds” or whatever. Go beyond that. Find the truth about the world around you. About how everything works and fits together.
If you want a place to start then check out these politically incorrect authors, they’ll send you down some rabbit holes that will expand your awareness, or if you don’t want to start there, then start somewhere else. Just work to expand that knowledge. Understand history, not just in the history books sense but in the real sense. History keeps repeating itself over and over and over again.
Don’t Limit The Truth
Don’t limit your truth to one little area, that doesn’t make any sense. I see people who will be “red pilled” when it comes to one topic but completely “blue pilled” when it comes to every other topic out there. That doesn’t make sense, that isn’t good for you. You want concrete ways to expand your awareness, your truth, after self-improvement then pick history and the nature of politics, it’s a great place to start. Just be warned, there are many horrors to be found.
