Members Only Post #176 – Finding A Worthy Struggle

What hill is worth “dying” on. So many people commit their lives to things that just don’t make sense. They spend their lives supporting a political party that hates and exploits them, corrupt charities for causes that won’t make a difference, for a nation that robs them, and a whole lot more. People defend and fight for things that make no sense all the time.

And yet having something you fight for and believe in, is an essential part of life. But how do you find what is worth fighting for, worth struggling for? Worth actually getting up in arms about? Because the truth of the matter is, there are very few things that are actually worth getting up in arms about. Yet at the same time to live without passion, fight, and drive is to essential live without life.

So since there is a need for struggle and to find a struggle, find something worth fighting for. How do we go about doing this? How do we go about finding struggles that are actually worthy of our time, attention, and effort? When there’s so much distortion out there. So many lies and half-truths how do we cut through it all and get to the things that are worthy?

Let’s go to the first step.

Detaching & Digging Deeper

There’s a two step process to finding a worthy struggle or rather two intertwined parts of a single process. The first is to detach from certain things to help clear your mind. Try to detach yourself as much as you can from what we call “modern culture”. So that means things like TV, movies, news, as well as things like music, porn, and other negative things. Look to get into nature and be in touch with natural rhythms and understandings as much as possible.

You do this by clearing your mind of all the junk and lies that the modern world pumps into your brain twenty four seven. Learn to breath, meditate, and work on clearing out all the gunk that’s built up over time. And in addition to this you need to dig deeper. Now what does dig deeper mean? To dig deeper means to think, see patterns, and develop critical thinking skills. And the best way to do this is to read and write.

Read, read, and then read some more. The more that you learn the more connections that you make and the clearer picture of the world that you get around you. Read as much non-fiction as you can. Learn all the dirty truths about politics, religions, money, the way the world works, and humanity as a whole. Don’t be deceived, it’s not a pretty picture. Anything you want to devote your time and effort too, you should become an expert in.

Then write out your thoughts in a journal or as articles. Keep writing, going over what you wrote, and expanding your thinking and understanding.

Two Guarantees That Are Worth Investing In

However with all that being said there are some things that are always worth investing in and that you can never go wrong with. The first one is yourself. Invest in your mind, body, and spirit. You are essentially the only guaranteed investment that is worth it. You’re a sure thing to yourself, at least as far as putting effort in goes. It might seem petty to only think of yourself and perhaps it is.

However you always have to start with yourself before going anywhere else. So invest in yourself first and foremost and know that you are the most worthy investment out there, at least when it comes to your own time, money, and resources. The next is a little more broad and harder to define but nevertheless is worthy of time and investment and that is things that are in line with the cosmic/primal order. What is the primal/cosmic order?

This is the order that transcends everything. Humans are a part of it but not to originator of it. What supports it? Things that are line with nature and right living, things that promote “highness”. Though we’ve been led to believe that everything is relative in today’s world the truth is that things are far from relative.

We can all tell a healthy body from an unhealthy body. We can all tell a beauty work of art from gutter garbage. We can all tell the difference from strength and weakness. We may delude ourselves otherwise and be pretty successful at the delusion but deep down anyone with a soul know which way is up and which is down. Even if it’s buried under a mound of garbage.

But beyond these two things following what I’ve lain out you can and will discover others.

Best Of Luck,
