Personal Standards

If you don’t live up to your own personal standards you will be unfulfilled.

Whether it is with women, making money, fitness, or anything else. You know deep down what it is you want. You know deep down what will fulfill you.

Only You Know

Others will be more than happy to tell you how you should live your life and when you should be happy. They will tell you you will be happy when you get a steady job no matter how soul sucking it is. Or maybe burying yourself in debt so that you have an “education” is the key to happiness. Even better marrying and having children.

The point is like stated before you should ignore others and do your own thing. Maybe the thought of working a forty hour per week job at a corporate office sends shivers down your spine.

That’s a sign you should not be doing it.

Yet most ignore it because their parents/society/significant other said that is what they are “supposed” to be doing. The only thing your supposed to be doing is what will bring you fulfillment.

I can’t stress how important it is to disregard the advice of others around you if it doesn’t match up with your own personal standards. The things you know in your, the things that only you can known. Other people cannot tell you what is best for you because they are not you.

This doesn’t mean don’t listen to advice of course. Simple use your own filter when doing so. Go your own way and be your own man. That is the only path that has a chance of bringing you true happiness.

Society works the way it works because that is what is best for society. Not because that is what is best for you. Don’t be another causality of society.

It may sound a bit cheesy but it’s the truth listen to your heart. Listen to yourself.

We are all different. What fulfills some will be seen as pure drudgery to others. For example for some going over to third world countries and building shelters truly brings them fulfillment. They actually enjoy it. They don’t just do it so they can get their moral fix or to out “charity” others. They do it because it is genuinely what they want to do.

Now don’t get me wrong I like helping others. But you most likely won’t find me building homes in a third world country. I’d rather build a business and then if that was something I truly felt like needed to be done I would have a professional team build hundreds of homes.

Uniqueness

We are all unique. What happiness looks like to one person will be different from the next. What fulfillment looks like to one person will be different from the next. The goals I have for my life will be different from the goals you have for your life in some way, shape, or form.

We all have our own compasses that points the way we should be going. We often let others dictate to us where we should be going which is why so many people end up lonely, unfulfilled, and dead inside.

Look at the line of traffic for the nine to fivers. The looks on their faces. How many of them are living their dreams? How many of them are happy with their lives?

It’s sad. Most people live as if this life is expendable. As if this is just one of many lives. They waste their time, their resources, their life. And for what?

To accomplish what society said they should accomplish?

The reason society says people should do things is because those things are what keep society in perpetual motion. A beast that grows at the cost of consumed souls.

Empty Feeling

You know the one I am talking about.

You’ve felt it before. Hell you probably feel it now.

It doesn’t have to continue. You’re the one in control. You have the power. You can fight back against it. You can break the chains and reclaim your soul and in the process

Reclaim your freedom

Or you could go back to sleep. The choice is yours and yours alone.

Look some people may be fine settling down with the first woman that liked them, working forty hours a week to support a house in the suburbs they don’t need, and making less than 100 grand a year.

I’m not one of those people and neither are you.

I intend to live my life to the fullest. To make the most of every moment of my life. Because I know how valuable my time is.

You and you alone know what will bring you fulfillment. What will bring you happiness in life.

Go and seize it.

Carpe Diem
