I find that I’m really enjoying this multi-part series, I often found myself limited with writing a single article on a topic. A topic that often required much more explanation to even began to get what I wanted to get at. Do you enjoy them? Or do you prefer the single article topics? Let me know in the comments. One other problem I was running into was I feel like I covered the majority of things that can be covered with a single 1,000 or so word topic and so had to branch out.
Anyways we left off part two with discussing creating your own sanity bubble. A little space where still things make sense and where things can be somewhat safe and somewhat sane. At least as safe and sane as humanity can ever hope to get. We left off by talking about the physical actions to take to create your sanity bubble. We discussed the three parts of man physical, mental, and spiritual.
And how they all have a role to play in creating your sanity bubble. While I could never hope to cover every single last action one could take to forge a sanity bubble or to bring one’s world in better alignment with what we’ll call truth, what I hope to do is give you a good enough foundation that you can build off of it. You can take what I say here and use it yourself then create something ever greater with it.
And who knows one day maybe all our sanity bubbles with converge and will have a small corner of the world that’s somewhat sane. But first we need to address the other two parts of the sanity bubble.
Creating Your Own Sanity Bubble – Mental
There is a direct correlation between mental and physical health, I think I should point that out. When I talk about “mental” here I’m more talking about the intellectual life than the actual functioning of the brain. The actual functioning of the brain would be more in physical health and diet, exercise, and restoration (sleep, relaxation, nature) are the most important things for that. Now let’s talk about the mental life, the world of ideas and the like.
Number one thing is read, read, read, and then read some more. Books over articles and audiobooks over podcasts. You want to “deep” information, the real stuff. The stuff that effort was put into. That’s what you want. Read stuff that they’re trying to ban, that everyone tells you is evil or awful, read things that you’re told not too and come to your own conclusions about them.
Read about topics that’ll show you how the world works. Avoid stuff written by journalists or people tied to the establishment, they all just parrot the same lies. Read things that are new but especially read things that are old. Read the classics, read books on thinking, read about history from banned books, learn about how the world works, how it all works and fits together.
Constantly look for patterns and connections, see if you can build evidence for a pattern. Form hypothesis, tests them, and then do it all over again. Constantly gather and synthesize new information and build more neural networks with it. Constantly expand your mind, throw out the school indoctrination (often called education), throw out the news, throw out the mainstream BS.
Think for yourself, really think, it’s one of the hardest things in the world but it’s so important. Write things out. Reading and writing are the core of developing the mind. Write a journal, write articles, write a book, even if you never publish any of it. Write to get thoughts down and then analyze those thoughts. Keep pushing, learning, reading, listening, understand.
We’re all scientists in the truest sense of the word.
Creating Your Own Sanity Bubble – Spiritual
The spiritual can be found many places. Art for one, nature, primal endeavors. I’ll explain all in a bit. But a quick note, religion can work for some but it’s stifling for others. Most modern “churches” kill the spiritual life, they are empty tombs devoid of anything worthwhile yet filled with rotting infections and disease. Not all churches but most. Beware modernity religions, modernity is the enemy of spirituality.
A healthy spirit is a primal spirit. Religion can help with your spirituality but it can also destroy it. Understand that different religions are meant for different people, nations, races, and tribes. Your religion and truth will be different from another. But let’s move on, it’s just that when most people think spiritual they think of various religions including “spirituality”, new age, atheism, progressivism, humanism, which all religions just as much as Islam and Christianity are, except worse.
But let’s move to art. I recommend that every man endeavor in art in some form. It could be painting, it could be writing, it could be music. I also recommend collecting and consuming good art. Whether it’s movies, music, novels, or paintings. While I recommend reading non-fiction for the development of the mental aspect of the sanity bubble, I recommend reading fiction for the development of the spiritual aspect of the sanity bubble. Myth and stories speak to the deepest part of us and have more power than just about anything else.
Immerse yourself in them and drink deeply from the ancient wisdom and strength that they have to offer. Collect great paintings and music. Classical and the new stuff that’s good. There’s so much out there. If you don’t have a favorite painter then get one. Look at the masters and the new masters. Find one, same with composers and novelists. Seek to find souls that burn with the fire you burn with and be kindled by them.
Nature. We talked about nature before but it bears mentioning again. Get in nature, camp, go for a walk, a hike, whatever. Just get away from the abomination we call the modern world, modern society, modern humanity. Get back to something that is fresh, pure, and has a vitality to it you won’t find anywhere else. Swim in the rivers, hike the mountains, climb the trees, bask in the sun, recharge yourself to the moon, feel the wind on your skin. Go and experience nature, remember that there’s power in it.
Primal endeavors. What does this mean? Well it can mean a lot of things, essentially it means doing the things man was meant to do. For example I do combat sports and something about standing toe to toe with a man and trying to defeat him while he tries to defeat me feels pure. It was a pureness I never experienced in the weight lifting gym, there was something more primal about it. Hunting is the same way, especially with a bow, and especially with the meat requirements of my diet.
It could be camping, building a home with a friend, hunting, combat sports, fishing, honestly there are so many things out there that I could never list them all here. Something that ties you in with your primal nature, which to me is something that helps reattach you to God. But that’s a whole other thing. Regardless know that it’ll attach you to your primal self and that there’s great power there.
Find what works for you.
The Longevity Of A Sanity Bubble
But with all this being done how long can a sanity bubble last? Well that ties to too many factors to address here. For one the stability of your culture that you live in. Right now I’d say a good chunk of the Western world is essentially Rome circa before shit hit the fan…but not very long before. Meaning a sanity bubble isn’t going to last very long in Miami, London, or say Paris. Or maybe even the United States, the United Kingdom, or France or other Western nations.
You court the devil for too long eventually he comes in. However there are parts of those nations that might end up just fine…hopefully. So where you live determines a big part of the longevity of your sanity bubble. Overall, as always, I recommend rural places over urban places (urban includes the suburb), I recommend non-Western nations over Western nations, and I recommend keeping your ear to the ground for how the world changes.
However with getting all these factors right you could really set yourself up for a good life. One more thing I thought I should mention, learn sales. Yeah, not having money is about the worst thing for your sanity bubble that there is. Learn sales and money problems tend to become a lot less, if not vanish entirely. You’ll need sales for every job that exists where you interact with another human being.
Learn it, and thank me later.
I hope you were able to glean something useful from all these words and I look forward to talking with you again.
