In What Order Do I Learn The Wealth Skills For Maximum Effect?

Recently I wrote a post titled Learn These Three Skills…And Never Worry About Money Again that you need to read before reading this post to have any idea what is I’m talking about. But in that post I went over three skills that every man needs to learn to have control over his finances and have financial independence which is a key tenet to having freedom, which after all is the foundation of so much.

The skills are sales, copywriting, and marketing. To make maximal money all of them have to be mastered. Technically sales was soft skills but for the sake of this article I will be referring to the sales portion of soft skills specifically as it is the most important. Remember regardless of the order every single last one of these skills is important and must be mastered. But there is an order that is the most logical and will give you the most bang for your buck. And here it is.

Sales Is First

First are foremost you must learn sales. You must learn to sell yourself, your ideas, as well as anything else. Doing this gives you tremendous personal power as well as allows you access to areas that others do not have access too. Sales is not an option and is the first of the three wealth skills that you need to learn. Also when you first start a business sales is most important because you are not going to have testimonials or years in business to fall back on so will have to rely on your selling ability.

Sales equals confidence when it comes too money. A good car salesman can make more than a doctor and not waste ten years of his life in medical school. When you know you can sell someone you’ll have a much easier time selling your product or service. You won’t have to hide behind anything but can stride right out and meet prospects face to face. Not to mention sales of the three wealth skills has the most application outside of business.

Copywriting Is Second

Now that you can sell in person it’s time to master selling in print. Now you never have to worry about when meeting someone face to face because of your confidence in your sales skills and can bring in loads of prospects through direct mail and other sources. Copywriting also allows you to sell products from websites and such freeing you up to use you sales skills on big prospects while your copywriting skills handle the rest.

Copywriting can also be used not just as your own salesman going around 24/7 selling your product or service but it can also be used as a incredibly effective lead generation tool as well. Use copywriting to bring in business and salesmanship to cement it. And this is just one of the many ways in which copywriting can be used to increase your bottom line exponentially. Being a good copywriter gives you tremendous power in the marketplace and for your business. It is another non negotiable skill.

Marketing Is Third

Marketing is a bit of a broad term because in some sense marketing also includes copywriting and salesmanship. I look at marketing as what brings people into your business and earns you top dollar. Marketing is strategies, tactics, and philosophy on how this works. Marketing is essential to learn once you have a business up and running because it controls how much money is brought into that business. Give me someone who is an expert at marketing over being an expert in their craft any day of the week (if it’s my own business they’re working in).

Marketing is how businesses make money. Literally. Just like production is how a product is made, marketing is how a business makes money. That may not be the official definition but it’s the one that works and what I’m talking about mastering. Knowing how to get your product or service in front of others and then entice them to buy is marketing. And it is the most important business function. Marketing does for your business what sales does for you personally. Gives it tremendous power when it comes to making money.

Summary

For complete mastery over money you must master the three skills listed above. I think sales personally should be learned before a kid graduates high school (where he doesn’t learn anything useful or helpful anyways). Most kids would be better off dropping out at 16 and working on a car lot learning to sell. It’d do a hell of a lot more for their life and well-being then more indoctrination and the debt of college ever would. Master these skills and you master money, master them in this order and you master money in the quickest time possible.

  1. Sales is important, and with all the texting, everyone is lacking
communication skills, no one speaks face to face, society is
against rejection so this opens a big door for people that want
    to earn a great income.
