Members Only Post #172 – Why Every Man Should Travel Outside His Country & See The World

Most of us can’t afford to cavort around the globe going from city to city on a world wide tour. Visiting other countries isn’t cheap, but that doesn’t mean that it’s no feasible or worth it. I’ve seen many reasons listed for why men should travel outside their country, most of them focus on meeting girls but there are plenty of reasons beyond that. Also most of these groups focus on going from major city to major city and while there are differences from city to city they share many similarities you wouldn’t get going outside the city.

I think that every man should save the money and take a trip outside his country. Now the reasons that I recommend go beyond meeting girls or doing it simply for the sake of a new experience. Seeking out new experiences is certainly something I encourage and think everyone should do but with that being said the benefits go beyond that. So let’s talk about this. How to go about visiting a country outside your own, why you should, and the many benefits associated with it.

How To Visit Another Country & Which To Choose

The world has many different places to visit, most of them different. How do you choose where to go? While I can never give you an exact country because it varies person to person there are some things we can look at to help decide where to go. First off look at cost and safety. Some countries are more expensive than others, obvious but something we need to look at. Also do you want to go to a major city in the new country? This has drawbacks such as being expensive as well as being relatively the same as other major cities in other countries.

Sometimes its better to go to a more out of the way place where costs are going to be less and the actual culture of the country will be able to shine more. Whereas major cities is most countries could essentially be a country and culture of their own. Also look at safety. Is where you’re going safe? How safe? What’s crime like? The political situation? Wars? So on and so forth. Is there anything that could hold you up or put you in danger?

Finally we come to culture. Look for a place with a culture different than the one your country has. I’d recommend this for maximum “experience” as in learning. Now granted if there’s a place that’s always fascinated you and it checks out in both money and safety then by all means go there. But if you’re still deciding then look at places that are going to give you a different experience. Get you out of the bubble of your country.

Why Visit Another Country?

If you answer is to meet girls then I’d say save your money. Beautiful girls exist in every country and if you’re not successful in your own country what makes you think it’s going to be different in another? However with that being said there are many reasons to go to another country, though of course nothing wrong with meeting girls either. But first off is broadening your understanding of the world. At first that might sound a bit “woo-woo” or even politically correct but there is real meaning to it as well.

We all live in bubbles, bubbles of various sizes and shapes but we all live in them. It’s just how being human works. We can work to expand these bubbles but most never do. When you get out of your country you get out of one bubble and go into another. Which can be a very enlightening experience. Things are different in different places. An obvious statement at face value yet one we take for granted. Go another place and you might find that the country you came from was a hellhole in some ways or maybe you’ll appreciate your country all the more.

Nevertheless you’ll learn and have a greater understanding of humanity and the world around you. You’ll find different ways of living and perhaps adopt some of that into your own day to day life. You’ll see how a different culture lives and maybe adapt some of that in your daily life. And you might see how different things could be, which is inspiring in many different ways.

Pick A Country, Set A Goal

Look at a country you’d like to visit and set a goal to do so. Make sure to have a time limit to your goal otherwise it’s useless. Look at what you should do before visiting the country. Save money will be a given but what else. Educate yourself on the region and the best places to go in the country. Look at any language learning that you might need to do as well. Start getting ready now. Do research, learn all that you can, and then set a goal. Figure out costs and understand that these will likely go up. But overall visiting another country can be one of the most worthwhile things that you do.
