How To Change Your Life With 3 Sheets Of Paper

No these aren’t magical sheets of paper and yes hard work is going to be required. A life change using only three sheets of paper is a pretty big bill to fill. However by using the technique outlines in this article you are going to come away with a way to plan out your life and set yourself up for success down the road. I’ll admit it’s a little different than your typical goal setting routine but its the difference that makes it so effective. No doubt you’ve written down your goals before (which is important) this is taking it to a whole other level.

However like anything else in life setting up a plan is only the first step. You must then take action everyday to ensure that you are on course and heading where you want to go. Without action nothing good is going to happen. The best of intentions mean nothing, only by action do we achieve what it is we want. However mindless action won’t get us very far either. It’s good to have a plan and that is exactly what these three sheets of paper are going to do for us.

Sheet #1 – Where You’re At

On the first sheet of paper you are going to write down where you are currently at in life. Including but not limited too how much money you make, how your sex life is, your training schedule, fitness goals, and any other goal you are in pursuit of you’re going to write down where you are at. Things like weight, monthly income, number of fights won, state of relationship with women, and so on and so forth. Write everything down and write it down accurately. Don’t write it as you’d like it to be but as it actually is.

That’s an important point. What you are doing here is getting a meta level look at your life. You’re taking inventory of where you’re at so you can get a better picture of where you’re going to be at and where you want to be at. It’s one thing to think “Yeah I’m on track” but then to take actual numbers and hard facts and still think the same thing. This can be a wake up call as well. It’s good to have a good long honest look at yourself and your life. Put it down on paper and use numbers and measurements.

Sheet #2 – Where You Want To Be

On the next sheet of paper you are going to be using the same categories as the first sheet of paper. So say as an example (I’m shortening this on purpose, you should use many more than this) you have body weight, monthly income, and number of girls in harem at the moment for the first page. Then on the second page you have to make sure you are using the exact same categories and ways of measuring so that you can make sure that they stack up against one another. Otherwise you’d be comparing apples to oranges which isn’t going to get us anywhere.

Alright so now in all those categories you are going to write down where you’d like to be. Say for body weight you were at 220 and you want to get down to 200. For monthly income you were at 10k and you want to get to 15k. And for number of girls in rotation you were at 3 and wanted to go to 5. You can add in a time limit for example where I want to be in one year or you can just do where you want to be in general. Write it down, this is to get your ideal life down on paper and get you thinking about all the things that you want.

Sheet #3 – What You’re Going To Give Up

No doubt you’ve done both the above steps before at one point or another, this is where it’s going to get a little different and what separates this from other methods of goal setting and life planning. On the third sheet of paper you are of course going to be using the same categories and you are going to write what you are going to give up in order to turn the first sheet of paper into the second sheet of paper. Much of success is not just about doing things but also about not doing things. This is why in The Primer I talk about good habits to do and bad habits to get rid off.

Your bad habits can negate your good habits if you let them, you must grow one and starve the other actively. So let’s look at what you have to give up in order to get what you want. For the body weight it might be giving up having beer on the weekend. For monthly income it might be giving up the hour of TV you watch after work for working on a side project that’ll yield income. For the girls in the rotation it might be giving up an hour of your time to go out a couple times of week to talk to more women. You have to give up things to get what you want. The key to success is giving up the things that are holding you back.

Summary

Successful people don’t spend time getting drunk on the weekends, watching TV for hours on end, or doing other things that the average person does. The successful person has given up those things for something more. I first heard about this method from Larry Winget though my version might be a little different than his. Use this method to figure out what you have to give up to get where you want to go and then apply it. Cut out those things from your life and you’ll keep going higher and higher. Success is just as much about addition of good as it is subtraction of bad.
