3 Habits Of The Master Race

Alright so don’t get too worked over the “master race” comment it’s a joke. But what I do want to do is take a look at habits that’ll put you (and anyone else who follows them) head and shoulders above the masses out there. By doing these three things alone (maybe I should have titled these “3 Steps To Greatness or something) will make a day and night difference in your life and the success that you have in it.

And also yes if a nation, tribe, race, or even family were to institute these habits or rules whatever you want to call them across the board then they’d stand head and shoulders above the other nations, tribes, races, and/or families out there. Granted I don’t see that happening anytime soon (even family might be stretching it) but the fact remains. Luckily for you, you don’t have to worry about that.

You can implement these things yourself and reap the rewards that go along with it. These aren’t things that’ll require you to give up your life for but rather things to include in your life so that you can get more out of it and live it to the fullest. There are three things here that work on seperate aspects of one’s life. Let’s dig in.

Physical Challenge

All healthy societies have had physical challenge of one sort or another as part of their culture and often in their rites of passage for a boy to become a man. The modern world and therefore the modern “man” misses out on a lot by not being part of these. There are still traces of these in our culture but they’re often looked down upon or used as spectator events rather than events that were made to be participated in.

You want some sort of physical challenge in your life. The details are less important than getting the big idea and then expressing it in your own unique way. There are many examples to choose from. I’ll provide you with some here but if you have something of your own that you’d rather do then by all means do that. As long as it’s a challenge and requires you to strive.

So for me I enjoy combat sports things like boxing, MMA, BJJ, and the like and that’s what I use to stay sharp in this facet of life. However there are many other things. There is powerlifting, camping, hunting, team sports, survival challenges, archery, and a million other things that one can do. Just as long as it has a physical component and challenges one forcing you to strive then it’s good.

Mental Stimulation

So again I’m going to first cover the broad topic and then you find your own unique expression of this topic that’s going to work best for you personally. We covered physical challenge next comes mental stimulation. Man is not just a body but also a mind (of course that works the other way too, man is not just a mind). If one wants success in life and to be fulfilled you can’t neglect one area while only focusing on another.

You must make strong the body but also make sharp the mind. There are again a number of options here and different options are going to work on different aspects of the mind. Again I’ll provide a “general list” so to speak and you can either select from that list or come up with something yourself that is going to work on this facet of yourself.

For me personally things like reading and writing fill this “niche” (although there are others but with my job and family life I have more time than most). Sharpening my writing skills and reading new books to learn things keeps my mind sharp and active. But there are other things as well playing a musical instrument, public speaking, solving complex puzzles, chess, and so on and so forth. Pick something that works for you and stick with it.

Abstinence

What do I mean by this? Well a couple of different things. To many abstinence means not having sex (or at least not having sex until marriage) but that’s not exactly the meaning that I’m going for here. My meaning leans more towards the dictionary definition which states “the fact or practice of restraining oneself from indulging in something” which is more what I’m getting at.

What this means is abstaining from things that makes one weaker. So things like porn and masturbation, tobacco, weed, alcohol, and a whole bunch of other activities. Again whatever drags down your life and wastes your time. If you “need” these things to cope or “wind down” then you have a problem that needs to be fixed.

Many men self-improvement writers have talked about how talking bad about weed and porn creates a firestorm of lash back and what that reveals about those that get so worked up about it. Look if you want to do those things fine (well sort of) but just don’t think they’re doing anything but holding you back. Getting rid of them will do you nothing but good, no matter how much it’s fought against or denied.

Reaching The Top

These three habits, especially when working together, can be completely life changing. They’ll make you rise head and shoulders above those around you but far more importantly than that they’ll help you fulfill your potential (and therefore be fulfilled) and life the best life that you can. Making the greatest impact and living with the most fire in your belly possible.

These are all things that men need in their lives for full and proper functioning and when they’re not in a man’s life that’s when things start to go wrong. This isn’t the end all be all of everything but it’s a damn good start. Implement these things into your life and you’ll see what I mean. It won’t be easy at first but will be well worth it.

If anything I said here interests you I’d highly recommend you check out The Ultimate Alpha Collection which is a compilation of 16 of my books for the price of 5.
