In part one we covered the first thing that can ruin a man’s life and that was being without goals. It may seem a simple thing and it is, yet that doesn’t change its importance or how much it can affect a man’s life. You need to have goals. Daily goals and lifetime goals and goals that are inbetween. If you don’t have goals then you end up adrift in this world. And those that are adrift make the easiest targets for the many devours of life in this world.
Many of which will be covered in later topics. So now let’s continue with our list and look at the other things that can ruin a man’s life.
Thing That Ruins The Lives Of Men 2 – Debt & Poor Money Management
Money may not be everything and the love of money above all else may be the root of all evil, but that does not change the fact that money, it’s acquirement and understanding, is one of the most important things in life. There are few things in this life that are more important than money. Yet few are ever taught much about it, how to acquire it, how its used, how to manage it, and how to understand it. Because of this ignorance many go through much suffering that would otherwise be preventable.
Money troubles can ruin your life just as surely as anything else. You must learn how to get money and how to keep it and manage it which are separate skills. There are those that can acquire money but can’t keep it to save their lives. Likewise there are those that can keep money but can’t acquire it, which leaves them in just as unfortunate a position. So let’s take a second to talk about this. How can one learn about money? What skills are required to keep and acquire it then manage it well?
First off understand that like history, science, math, and language studies that acquirement and keeping of money is a topic all on its own. And while through school we’re often through book after book on the four prior subjects we don’t get a single one on money acquirement and management. And that’s unfortunate. You have to learn about money acquirement and management yourself and keep learning.
Learn sales, learn savings, learn how money flows and works. Read all the books you can get on sales, money making, entrepreneurship, and the like. Learn to separate the wheat from the chaff. Understand what a scam that university often is and how things like trades can make you a great income. Learn how money flows and how people with money actually make that money. Knock down the misconceptions you have about money and replace it with truth. Read books, think, watch lectures, recognize patterns, learn all that you can about this topic.
Thing That Ruins The Lives Of Men 3 – Bad Relationships
What is meant by this? Many things. Who you hang around and spend your time with makes a huge difference in how you end up. It’s better to be alone then hanging around losers who will only bring you down. So many promising futures have been destroyed because of poor choice in friends and acquaintances. There’s an old cliché that says your the average of the five people you spend the most time with and there’s much truth to that.
Look at who you spend your time around, are they lifting you up? Or more likely dragging you down? Again better to be alone than with losers. And the fact of the matter is most people are petty, low, and simple and aren’t worth spending time with. Good friends and good people are rarer than diamonds and should be treated as such. When you have found a good friend you’ve found a very valuable thing and should cherish that.
But this goes beyond friends and acquaintances. How many men have been ruined because of their poor choice in women they chose to involve themselves with. Do not be blinded by beauty. Judge by character. How many males have you seen that have been blinded by a girl’s charm, or whatever you want to call it, and have fallen far because of it? If a girl is trouble she is not worth your time, that’s the end of it.
Learn to see character and not be blinded by other things. Learn to see clearly. With friends, with women, with yourself, and with life in general. Clear sight and a clear head are two of the most important things you can learn and develop. Pay attention that you’re not being seduced away from the truth. Avoid bad relations with people, clients, bosses, women, friends, acquittances, and people in general.
Two More Things To Consider
We have two more things to consider here. Money management and acquirement as well as relationships. Wealth and relationships take up two of the biggest portions of your life, therefore it makes sense to pay attention to them. Do a test of where you’re at with these things. Write out your monthly expenses and income and see where you’re at truthfully. Is that close to where you thought you’d be? If not why? What can be done to change it? How is your knowledge on this subject? Does it need work?
Next look at your relationships. Where are they at? The women you date? You spend time with? Are they truly adding to your life or taking away? Do not be blinded. Be honest about this. Now look at your friends and acquittances, are they lifting you up or dragging you down? The five people you spend the most time with, are they people that you’d want to be like. If not then what are you going to do to change it? Think about these things, they can literally be life changers.
