Members Only Post #52 – Finding The Diamonds In The Rough

This world isn’t a great place in general. While the world has always been harsh more and more it has also become corrupt and a sickened version of what it once was before. As societies spread and rise to “greater and greater” heights the world suffers for it. Good things on this earth have almost always been a rarity, life has been marked by pain and suffering for since the dawn of time.

But mankind was once wiser than we are now and made efforts to develop, protect, and circle around the good. To find the things that were good and give them importance. So even though the world around them was harsh and unforgiving the things that were most important were valued and experienced by as many as possible. Love, honor, and so on and so forth.

Now we live in an upside down world. One that values convenience above having a soul. One that has turned the true good on its head and say what is base is gold and what is gold is base. People are suffering mentally, spiritually, and physically for it yet declare that things have never been better. Yet they now deep down that something is very, very wrong.

The Dark Reality

Too often it can become depressing when one is constantly submerged in the worst things of this world. For example watching the news or even being part of an alternative ideology (whatever name it goes by). When one is constantly exposed to the worst without also seeing the beauty it can lead to dangerous places. While it is important to be aware of the worst it’s just as important to find the good.

To find beauty and to find things worth fighting and living for in this world (and there are those things, many simply coming from within ourselves) and once those things are found to protect them and develop them. As I said in another post to create fires in the dark so that others may see and to then develop and protect these fires. These small outposts in the wilderness in the demon haunted lands.

Such a vision is a very accurate portrayal of our world. Sure its hidden behind flash and sophistry but it’s still there and the reality hasn’t changed. Coating poison with sugar doesn’t change the effects that it ultimately has (though it’ll get more people to take it). But with all of this being said there are good things and they can be found.

Having Hope & Finding The Good

One of the goals of the modern world is to numb you and if it can’t numb you or dumb you down to the point where the dumbness serves as its own source of numbness it’ll then seek to demoralize you. To make what transpires around you seem inevitable and that there is nothing one can do to change anything. One might as well give up and give in because there’s nothing you can do but take it.

And unfortunately too many males end up thinking this way. They become depress and demoralized and figure it’s futile to resist and it’s futile to try to create a life that’s actually worth living. But this isn’t true. There is good but it has to be searched for, developed, and protected. This includes good within ourselves as well as good things around us. And by good I don’t necessarily mean “good” in the moral sense but in the primal and cosmic sense.

Good can be strong sons, daughters with character, a good wife, a successful business that promotes good things, a happy family, a great work of art, a song, a piece of a culture, a discipline, a truth, and a million other things. And as we all know these are rare and are hard to develop or find and can b hard to keep. And know that the world around you does everything in its power to destroy such things and make sure they never take root and bloom.

The modern world is the disease and what is good is the body. The disease seeks to destroy all of it and hope that the body never realizes that it can fight back. Understand that you can fight back and carve out your own little slice of good in this world. But it’s going to require work and dedication to do it, not to mention a bit of luck. But it can be done.
