Members Only Post #61 – Beware The Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing

There are quite a few things that have caused me pause to bringing a family into this world. One can’t help but look at the state of things and wonder if it’d be worth it. One thing that I think is critical to all men (especially those with families) is learning who can be trusted and who cannot. Especially in the Western world people have abdicated responsibility and thinking over to others (especially “experts”) in hopes that they won’t be led wrong.

Of course this went about as well as you’d expect. Doctors become more dangerous than drug dealers. Psychologist warp and destroy the minds of the people. Police often kill citizens. Politicians are often beholden to foreign powers. Hollywood and the music industries pumps pure poison. Debtors control people through an encouraged form of slavery. There’s poison in the food, in the very water you drink. And about a million other things. Put another way things are seriously screwed up.

And how does a man (especially one with a family) navigate these dangerous and mine filled waters? Who can be trusted? How can one know that one has a chance of being safe and free? This isn’t the 50’s anymore, that’s for damn sure. Not that the era was perfect or as rosy as people remember but to think that there weren’t actual changes would be foolish. How does one identify the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Opening One’s Eyes

Let me tell you this, wisdom and knowledge can often be as much of a curse as they are a blessing. The world is an extremely ugly place with extremely ugly people. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a fool or has an agenda they’re working. This isn’t to say that there aren’t good and beautiful things in this world there certainly are. But they are far fewer than the ugly and the base. In order to navigate these waters and protect one’s self and one’s family you must first open your eyes even though it can be a horrifying experience.

But it’s something that has to be done. The consequences of keeping them closed are just too great. And the “good” news is, is that once your eyes have been opened they can never truly be closed again. Once you see certain things you can’t unsee them. Once you stare into the abyss you’ll always know it there and that there are things lurking in it, having nothing but ill-will towards you, yours, and all that is good in this world.

Call it human nature, call it demons, call it a cosmic battle, call it whatever the hell that you want, just understand that it’s there and that it’s not going away. There are too many topics to list but just understand the nature of this world and the majority of the people that are contained within it. Which like I’ve been saying isn’t exactly pretty.

Who Helps & Who Harms?

So like I stated in the opening paragraphs things aren’t exactly pretty. Well meaning doctors hand out things like SSRIs like candy. A guy answering his front door can get shot up by overzealous SWAT officers. Politicians are beholden to monied powers that do not give a sweet damn about you or me. And so on and so forth. So aside from opening one’s eyes and educating oneself how does one sort through all of this.

Understand that just opening one’s eyes and being aware of certain things make a huge difference. Don’t just give your trust out like candy but instead your trust must be earned and vouched for. Person says X, look up X on yourself and do your own research on it. Don’t outsource your or your family’s safety and well being to “experts” or “professionals” who may very well be ignorant (educated/professional ignorance is the worst kind) or just be looking for a buck.

You have to distinguish who is helping and who is harming. Because it’s going to be different for different people in different situations. Meaning that you have to make these decisions yourself and not to take them too lightly. This doesn’t mean be paranoid of course, it simply means be smart, and keep both eyes firmly open.

Good People Are Natural Prey

One more thing to consider if you are a decent hardworking person and have the family a decent hardworking man generally has then you’ll be a huge target. Just understand that. Predators like to take advantage of the good nature of good natured people. I’m not saying you have to become a scumbag but you better have teeth that you aren’t afraid to bare or use when the time comes for it.

Like the Marine Corp saying “Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness”. Also understand this isn’t to say doctors, police officers, or a certain group of people in and of themselves are evil, far from it. Just to have your eyes open and not out source things as precious as your health and personal protection to others. Again just a fact.

One other thing to keep in mind is not to get bogged down by all of this. There is still love, goodness, honor, and pure things out there in the world. And those things are worth preserving, protecting, and fighting for. Just because things are hard and dark is not reason to give up or despair. We’ll just be remember for those men that went through the iron age with their heads held high.

When Do Things Change

Now naturally a man looks at all of this and thinks “Well when do things change? Such things cannot go on forever?” and I agree there. Things like this cannot go on forever. That’s for sure. I think the powers that be have done an excellent job of prolonging their reign for a great time and to snuff out the will of man to do anything about it. But such things don’t last forever, what is done in the dark is eventually revealed by the light.

So when one looks at all of those things I talked about in the opening paragraphs (and the many that I did not) eventually the tide will turn and all of these things will come to a head. And likely that head will be violent and bloody. But that’s a topic for another time (not to mention just one more thing to be ready for). Reckoning usually comes, it’s just usually way later than one would expect. But until then keep yourself and your family safe.
