Trim The Fat

No this isn’t a fitness post. This isn’t a post about cutting weight or losing inches off your waist line. Rather this is a post about your mindset and getting the most out of life. If you want to trim fat look elsewhere, if you want to make the most out of the time that you have on this earth then keep reading. You see when I talk about trimming the fat I’m talking about trimming the unneeded things and people out of your life so that you can perform at top speeds. You see speed is power and anything that is disrupting that speed has got to go.

You’ll never get far if you are constantly hanging out with and seeking out losers. It’s a fact of life. It doesn’t matter if these losers are family, friends, or significant others. A spade is a spade. Most people have tolerance for losers and this is unfortunate as they’re tolerance will lead to them never achieving the life that they want and never achieving success or greatness. A damn shame because life has so much to offer for those who are getting after it with all of their might.

Fat Slows You Down

Fat slows you down plain and simple. The less fat that you have the faster you will go. It’s the same as in running a race as it is in life. You have to trim the fat to make it anywhere. The fat can be a number of different things. It could be people in your life perhaps a parent or significant other. It could be bad habits that are weighing you down and keeping you from reaching your full potential. Or it could actually be being fat. A healthy body will give you more energy and help you get to where you want to go.

Regardless of what it may be you need to trim the fat. If it’s people then you need to cut them out of your life. If it’s bad habits then you need to replace them with good habits. If it’s actually being in bad shape then it’s time to hit the gym and work yourself to better health. Point is whatever is holding you back and slowing you down in life has got to go. Your development is to important to leave to chance or to let others limit because you feel bad for them or for yourself. No excuses trim the fat.

Speed Kills

Speed is the killer. Especially in today’s world and market. It’s not so much the big that survive but rather the fast. And as any good track coach will tell you one of the number one ways to increase you speed is to reduce your body fat. Well the same applies to your mind and business. If you want to stay competitive and have a chance of winning then you have to maximize the speed at which you can compete. Slow cheetahs all die out. You have got to be faster then those you are competing against.

Realize that having fat is a liability. It will get you killed. Just like if an animal in the wild allowed itself to get to fat it would be picked off. The same applies to you. Now your competitors might not kill and eat you but they will destroy you nonetheless. You might say “Charles I don’t have competitors” but we all have competitors even if it’s death or a life of slavery. We all having something we are fighting and striving against no matter who or what we are. We are all striving and fighting day in and day out to do more and achieve more.

Beat Them To It

Ideas don’t mean anything. It’s taking action on those ideas that actually means something. Taking action on your ideas is what is going to give you a leg up and help you get ahead. Thinking about running a race doesn’t do anything putting one foot in front of the other as fast as you can is what does it. Fat slows down the time it takes for you to take action on an idea. For example said you wanted to do something with your business, say you wanted to write a book. But instead of hopping right on it and cranking it out you instead sat back and smoked some weed with some friends or played video games instead.

Meanwhile your competition was hard at work doing just that. Without those losers or bad habits you would have been right at it. It would have gone from mind to matter in no time at all. But instead the fat got in your way and slowed you down. And because of that someone else won the race and got the prize. You can’t afford to have fat in a cruel world. It’ll get you killed this applies to both your body and your mind. Get rid of the fat because you can’t afford to be slow. Not if you want to last long.
