How To Create Opportunity Out Of Nothing

Most people believe the lie that their life is decided by fate. That they are a victim of luck and circumstance. Many believe this lie because it is comfortable and it keeps them from having to take responsibility for their life. The fact of the matter is that we all decide our own fate. We all decide where it is we end up in life. There are no excuses. Those who have got where they are because they created it. The success we all desire is rarely or ever given out. Few are born rich yet many are rich, because of their force of will.

Through their force of will they created wealth for themselves. I want you to imagine a desert with nothing but sand and dunes. This is the life that most are given at birth. Nothing remarkable and not much to use. However what separates the successful from the unsuccessful is that the successful work day and night to turn that desert into an oasis. They don’t sit back and whine “Well I have a desert what am I supposed to do with it?”. They get to work right away transforming that desert into what they want it to be. And through force of will they prevail.

You create you own opportunity through force of will. And force of will is made up of the following three factors.

Factor #1 – Hard Work

Hard work means working above and beyond what others do. It means that you look at what the best is doing and then do your best to double it. If someone is writing five posts a day then you’ll write ten. If someone is spending two hours in the ring you’ll spend four. If someone is speaking at twenty events a year you’ll speak at forty. Hard work doesn’t mean you are working at a moderate pace all day like many believe. It means you’re giving it your all and prepared to do that day in and day out until what you want is completed.

Hard work takes obsession. It takes a all consuming fire that animates you and brings you back even when your body and even your mind say “no more”. You ignore both and eventually both fall in line. You keep at it. Your hands may blister and bleed but you will work harder and harder. You will work until the desert turns into an oasis. You will fight until you win. Remember if you don’t quit then they can’t win. If you refuse to give up and keep at it eventually it’ll break. You could take a pickax to the great wall and destroy it if you worked hard enough.

Factor #2 – Energy

This is that animating fire that I was talking about. It courses through you and consumes you. It comes naturally not something that you stimulate through substances. This fire comes from deep within your soul and propels you to accomplish your task and finish your goals. It is this fire that knows you can turn the desert into an oasis and will not rest until you do so. It is the fire of achievement. While others go and rest the fire will not let you. The fire keeps you at it until the job is complete.

The fire is obsessive (there’s that word again). It has no room for balance only for accomplishment. This fire keeps you up at night and wakes you in the morning. It can be seen in your eyes and is always burning in your heart. The animating fire that brings your force of will to life. It urges you to put in superhuman work that would shock the average man. It laughs at what others call hard work. This fire destroys obstacles. No matter how big they are the fire knows it simple has to burn hotter. This fire and energy comes form singleness of purpose. It is the energy behind force of will.

Factor #3 – Dedication

Even with super human work and the fire of accomplishment you will not turn the desert into the oasis of your dreams without dedication. Even the most intense day filled with high energy and hard work will not make the desert into the oasis. It is something that must be done day in and day out to have the effect that you want and accomplish the goal that you have set for yourself. This dedication brings you victory. Dedication is what wears out the obstacle or competition until they collapse underneath your onslaught.

Those who are successful and have created something from nothing all share dedication in their pursuits. They don’t use half measures and don’t take things half way. They take them too the end even if it requires much more effort and fight then they originally thought. They’re dedicated. They commit and are in it for the long haul. They look at the great heights they have to scale to reach where they want and then set about doing it. No complaints only action.

Summary

Through force of will one creates opportunity out of nothing. Through force of will one turns a desert into an oasis. By combining hard work, energy, and dedication man creates the life that he wants for himself, no matter what stands against him. A man who doesn’t give up can’t be beat. If you don’t quit they can’t win. If you don’t quit you are assured to get what you are after. Just don’t quit and create the opportunity you want through your force of will.
