Working Toward Better Days & A Better Life

Hope. It’s a small word and one that you won’t find me talking too much about (as well as one that as been used and abused from political slogans to soulless yuppie buzzword) but it’s one that has a lot of importance for men. Without hope we have very little, without hope of better days and a better life then unless completely satisfied (and who’s that?) then we wouldn’t have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Hope helps to fire us and keep us working, fighting, and striving.

Hope is not a light and frivolous word. Yuppie white women and others have appropriated this word and sucked all of the soul right out of it, as have politicians and many preacher men, but when you sit down and think about it, it’s something that’s very important and that has great meaning for both your and my life. Hope is what keeps the soldier driving on, it’s what keeps the worker working, and it’s what keeps mankind driving forward raging against the night.

If you don’t have hope then what you do have is a problem. But far too often people confuse hope with false hope based on feel good emotions or lies instead of the rock of truth. This isn’t a religious statement (again the appropriation weakens the word) but rather a factual one of the world that affects you and me right now. Right now our world is in a weird place, I think everyone is born into the time that they are for a reason and that each has a role to play in that time (but that’s a topic for another time). And often depending on who one is hope can seem distant in this world.

State Of The World & False Hope

It may be that you want to have a happy and healthy family. One that is disconnected from Babylon, one that has their souls intact, and are healthy physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. A family that radiates strength, health, wisdom, happiness, beauty, character, and all the other good things on this world. Yet you also know that in the modern world and especially in Western societies this is something that isn’t wanted and that will be fought against tooth and nail.

You see the world coming apart at the seams around you and wonder if there’s any hope for the future. More and more people are divided and more and more those higher up exploit, push, and maybe even have created this. Before because of lack of knowledge it could be easy to live in your bubble and pretend like the world was a decent place filled with decent people and the people were at their cores basically good. However knowledge has shown that the truth is the complete opposite.

But how does one have hope through all of this? The first thing is what one puts one’s hope in. Many put their hope that a certain political party or politician is going to save them. If only X was elected then everything would be right, not realizing the game is rigged so a political solution would never work. Or maybe they expect a religious saving. Either a savior to come galloping down from the sky on a flaming steed or if everyone just embraced the right moral structure then everyone would get along. But these are all false hopes.

Forging True Hope Based On Truth

No if you’re going to hope in something then it should be yourself and the actions that you take in your day to day life. Those are the things that can “save” you that can provide you with the life that you want and change your circumstances. Saving the world is a fool’s errand, we’d probably be better off if half the world (or the people in it) just fell into the sea and never returned (now who that half is an answer I don’t know). But what you can do is take charge of your own life and work to change yourself.

You have control of where you live, what you believe, and what you make of your life. Maybe you start behind others (maybe well behind) and you’ll have to work harder but you can get to somewhere better in life. This doesn’t have to do with the country you live in but the reality of being a human. From feudal Europe to the ancient Middle-East to modern Africa and more those that want power or something else and bust their ass day in and day out tend to get it.

You have to be like the hero of a story. The author throws every peril and setback that his devious mind can possible think about at him but he keeps moving forward. He just doesn’t give a damn and keeps fighting, at least that what happens in well written stories, in the best stories. If you say its hopeless then you’ve already lost. You’ve fallen to attempts to destroy your moral. The enemy has won and you have lost. But when you have hope even if its a faint glimmer then you stand a fighting chance. Like I said hope is pretty hardcore, not some airy fairy useless throw away phrase. Don’t let those without souls convince you otherwise.

Good Things Come To Those That Fight Like Hell & Never Give Up Or In

It’s the truth. There is hope that pretty much whatever you want in life (granted that you’re not foolish, although even then it could still work) you can get if you work hard enough for. If you’re willing to sacrifice enough for. That’s the key there, if you’re not willing to sacrifice for the good things in life then you’re not going to get them and that’s just a fact. Sacrifice is the start of much good, don’t forget that. A better life can be found even in the darkness’ world and empire. There are still spots of light you can find or create. But it’ll take sacrifice, work, and iron will…and hope. So hope for better days and things then work tirelessly to bring them about.
