How I Nearly Doubled My Profits With 2 Paragraphs by Charles Sledge

And no that’s not a typo and yes that’s an accurate headline. It’s not overblown, scammy, or misleading it’s the direct truth. I’ll explain the how and why in a moment. As I study marketing more and more and apply it my business the more convinced I become the marketing is an essential life skill in today’s day and age. Especially for those that want freedom which will require them to know at the very least the basics of markting. Whether it’s doing freelance work of some sort or simply acquiring enough cash to be free. No matter what marketing is going to play a role in a man’s escape, even if it’s just the understanding of human nature it gives you.

But anyways after having made my way through lots of marketing material and testing and implementing it on not only my own businesses but also businesses that I do consulting for it always strikes me how the same thing in one business can literally spell the difference between the doors closing and record profits while the same thing implemented in another business has a barely positive return on investment. The more I study this, the more I notice that it’s the nuances and little things that add up and make big differnces.

The Money Making Paragraphs

So this leads to achieving success in your business you’ll want to make sure that your experimenting and trying new things. So one thing I implemented with this site is adding in a cross sell/up sell (depending on how you look at it) with my The Ultimate Alpha Collection and King Of The Jungle books. For the thank you page for each respective book (what you’re taken to after purchase) after the thank you section is placed the following paragraphs

For The Ultimate Alpha Collection

“P.S. Now that you have the information to take your self-develoment to the highest level possible why not do the same with your sex life? Check out King Of The Jungle to be in the top 20% of men who sleep with 80% of women.”

And for King Of The Jungle

“P.S. Now that you’ll have the sex life of your dreams why not also take all areas of your life to the highest level possible? Check out The Ultimate Alpha Collection to skyrocket your self-development and become a king among men.”

So nothing crazy or fancy yet these two paragraphs have nearly doubled what I’ve been making from these two respective books and here’s why. Before I’d sell a book here and a book there. However someone who bought one book wouldn’t neccesarily but the other. However since putting in these paragraphs nearly every sale has been for both books instead of just the one they were buying previously.

Now here’s the thing. Your cross or up sell has to be relevant. People who are interested in King Of The Jungle are also going to be interested in The Ultimate Alpha Collection and vice versa. If I gave them an offer for something completely unrelated they’d have no interest. Likewise both programs contain massive value for in excess of their respective prices. Since they both deliver such great value they can be both be offered together. Because it increases the value the buyer is going to get from my material.

So for a up/cross sell to work it must be for the benefit of the person who is purchasing the origional product, it must give extra value, and it must be relevant to the origional order.

Find Your One (Or Two…Or Three)

Another point I want to make with all of this is that you never know which method or strategy is going to spell big bucks for you and tons of value added to your customer. For others I have worked with we did upsells that had tons of value but added barely anything to the bottom line. And for others they got the same results that I did. Likewise there are things I’ve implemented in my business that skyrocketed results for other businesses I’ve worked on but did little for me.

And some things I implemented that worked in one of my businesses did nothing in other businesses of my own. You just never know so need to experiment, test, and tweak to find out what works best for you and your business. This also applies to other areas of life. Different things are going to have different effects of different people. For example for one guy working out maybe gives him loads of confidence while for another it was becoming a public speaker and so on and so forth.

Life is about finding what works for you and experimenting on yourself. So in business implement new ideas right away and sift through the mass of good ideas (that just may not be applicable to your business or at this stage in your businesses life) and find the one, or two, or three that’ll make huge differences at this point in time.

    Those who aren’t aware of upselling will starve if they have to live off their sales. Upselling is EVERYWHERE. The cliché line “Do you want fries with that?” is even an upsell.
    Some good ideas in this article that I’m going to have to look into employing in the future.
