My Thoughts On Buying Land & Becoming As Self-Reliant As Possible

It’s funny how quickly a man’s life can change and how things that were once important to him no longer mean much and things that he thought were far off are suddenly just around the bend. I’ve often talked about how depending on if you’re a bachelor or a man with a family there are going to be very different ways for you to live. For example I can’t really think of a single reason that a man would raise a family in a city, it just doesn’t make sense.

Like trying to grow plants in sewage waste. I guess one could argue a good job but that’d be about it and honestly with modern technology so few jobs actually have to be done in some overpriced office building (at least day in and day out). Even as a bachelor I guess they’re plenty of girls and started job opportunities but even then. This isn’t to say I’m completely against living in the city especially if it’s a nice one. I lived in one of the biggest cities in the United States for awhile and actually enjoyed much of it (though knew it’d never be a long term thing).

But things change. More and more I’ve been leaning towards starting a family and living in a small town or out in the country. Away from the stench of Babylon. My learning has drifted more and more from things like how to make more money and gender dynamics to things like bush craft skills, homesteading, and fiction writing and the like. Though I’d always recommend one learn skills like sales/copywriting and how the dating/mating game works (even if just so one doesn’t get taken advantage of) they are just starter skills and there is far more to life.

Homesteading & Homeschooling

I wrote a members only post awhile ago about how those that were truly rebelling right now and those that do things like homesteading and homeschooling that are detaching from modern Babylon (the modern “civilized” society and the corrupt money system that rules it) and living a healthy “independent” (as much as one can be) life. Granted this isn’t an option for everyone but it is a good direction to move in. Becoming more independent and free. You can still become a little independent.

You can still (and absolutely should) teach your kids right from wrong and how you see the world because the view that they get from the media/school system is not going to line up with any sane person’s view of how things work and are. Likewise even if you can’t grow everything you need on your own land you can still grow a couple things and learn how to make your own food. So maybe you buy some local grain and make sprouted grain bread or maybe you raise some chickens or goats or something of that nature.

It’s a step in the right direction. It leads you towards more freedom, health, happiness, and good living. Which is always a good thing. I’m not saying that everyone has to move deep in the woods and such. As a matter of fact I’d actually recommend against it for a couple of reasons. I think total disconnect is wrong. There are many great resources to take advantage of that civilization offers. I think too many prepper types make this mistake. For example books from Amazon, learning from YouTube, social clubs in towns, and the like. I think small town over complete wilderness works best for most.

Finding Land & What To Build

One thing I recommend with land and looking at what the land is going to be like 50 years from now, not as it is right now. Think about it 50 years ago most places were decent to live, not so much any more. Also you have to look at development. That quiet wooded area 50 years from now might be in the middle of a highway. Or maybe they put in government housing. Or maybe it’s in a fast growing city and it’ll be stuffed full with people before you know it. Before you plop down the money you have to think ahead and try to envision what the future will be using current trends.

Look at demographics. Like I’ve said before the world is getting more and more divided. You may be the majority in the place you are now or the land you’re looking at but will you be in 50 years? Or will you essentially be giving you grandchildren a death sentence by living there? You have to take these things into consideration as well. And don’t expect things to get better, expect things to get worse (at least when deciding where to live). Price is one thing but it’s certainly not the only thing.

As for what to build that’s going to depend on you. I think pre-made homes make a cost effective option. I know things like tiny homes are popular, but I don’t think they’re effective in general or cost effective. Pre-made homes make a better option. There’s also building your own home and that may look cool on a show but I don’t think people truly understand the huge amount of work that goes into it. You could have a home built but again as far as effectiveness living wise and cost wise goes I think pre-made homes are your best bet.

Are You Ever Truly Free?

Here’s the thing you could move to the middle of the woods, teach your kids yourself, grow/hunt all your own food, and so on and so forth as the government could one day decide to go Ruby Ridge all over you and “serve and protect” you and your family and pets to the other side, if you’re thinking of going to whole anti-government route (which I don’t recommend, regardless of your true feelings). Meaning that there really isn’t true freedom, at least not yet. This is just a fact. You’ll still pay property taxes and so on and so forth and all of that. There is no complete exodus from Babylon (works generally the same in other countries beside the U.S. as well).

Just a coming out of and distancing from. I’d caution against fighting Babylon as it’s too powerful and foolish. Give unto Ceasar/Satan what is Ceasar’s/Satan’s. Even if you hate the system it collapses from the inside not from you. I’m all for healthy and happy living just not for the whole “anti-government” mentality that often goes with stuff like this. Empires (including “evil” ones) collapse one their own hubris and ignorance not because of preppers in the sticks. Come out of it as much as you can, give it what it is due, and live your life as peacefully, healthily, and happily as possible. That’s what this is about.

If anything I said here interests you I’d highly recommend you check out The Ultimate Alpha Collection which is a compilation of 16 of my books for the price of 5. It covers everything from being a man to making money to getting the right mindset to getting girls to fighting and more and is a resource no man should be without. Pick up your copy today!
