I previously wrote an article about “3 Areas You Must Be Proficient In To Call Yourself A Man” in this article I listed the three skills a man must master for success in life but just like the money skills there is a certain order to become proficient in these for maximum effect. Of course they’re all important but there is a way to get the most from them in the least amount of time possible. And as time is our most valuable resource it is wise to make the best use of it. I should also not that there are some fundamentals that need to be covered before one throws himself in mastering (or becoming proficient in the skills).
Also a word about mastery. Don’t master one skill before moving onto the next. Simply become proficient in each in the order they are listed here and then after you are proficient in all master them all. Otherwise you’d take too long to get the maximum advantage from each because you’d be focused on mastering a skill. For example you don’t have to be worth one hundred million dollars before you can focus on getting your sex life where you want it to be with the women you want it to be with likewise you’d don’t have to be able to go ten rounds with Tyson before learning how to make money, etc. You get the point.
The Foundation
But before we get to the skills there is something you need to understand first for the skills to have a solid foundation to rest on. And that thing is mindset. You can have all the skills in the world but if you have a faulty, negative, victim mindset none of it will matter. You have to learn to believe in yourself and use your mind for you, not against you. Perhaps this sounds cheesy or a bit basic. Nevertheless it is the foundation upon which all else is built. If you have the wrong mindset you’ll fail. You can’t stand in your own way.
This is best summed up in the quote by the great industrialist Henry Ford “Whether you think you can or think you can’t…you’re right”. Now mindset alone is not enough to take you to the life you want but it is the foundation upon which all else is built. This is why you have one person who thinks having a good mindset is all they need yet they’re poor broke losers while another says mindset is key and is a rich successful winner. Mindset is the key but it is not the end all be all. Get your mind right before all else. You can’t fight a battle against yourself you will lose. Understand the importance of mindset and get your mind on your own side.
The Basics
Now that you understand how your mind works and understand the importance of it we can begin with the skills. However we are not going to specialize just yet. First thing we need to do is have a rudimentary knowledge of each of the three skills. Combat, women, and money. Not a in depth or even proficient knowledge but just enough to put us above the level of the average person. This would require a few books to understand and then practice. Here is what I recommended pick up two books on women, I’d suggest The Manual as well as The Rational Male. That’ll put you ahead of 90% of people and you’ll have no problem getting laid with some decent girls. It’ll also prevent you from doing something stupid like getting married to the wrong chick or wasting you’re time being a woman’s emotional tampon and so on and so forth.
I would also recommend you pick up Championship Fighting by Jack Dempsey and do the routine outlined in it. You’ll be a better fighter than 90% of people out there after a few months of dedicated training. Again we’re not mastering the skills here (or even becoming proficient) just getting a taste for each. Like I said if you mastered money buy got married to a woman who was going to divorce raped you because you never learned the basics about women you’d be screwed. Which is why a basic knowledge of all is essential become becoming proficient at each. Also I’d recommend The Millionaire Fastlane and Bachelor Pad Economics to get you started on the path the economic understanding as well as how the corporate world will grind you down and spit you out. As well as the stupidity of going to college.
Money Comes First
Money is the first skill that you need to become proficient in. You understand everything there is to know about women and be able to get them to hop in bed with you after five minutes as well as being able to punch out way above your weight class and the best gunslinger since Jesse James yet if you’re still living with your parents you’re not going to feel like a man. I want to make something clear to you and have it linked in your mind. Money equals freedom. Let me repeat that money equals freedom. Now you may say “Sledge man I know guys who make bank but spend 80 hours a week to get it” or something to that extent.
Those men are foolish as they are trading their freedom for money. They mistake money for the end goal when freedom is the end goal. Yet nevertheless money is freedom. Without money you can never achieve freedom but if you make money the end goal you’ll miss out on freedom as well. Sales, copywriting, and marketing. Become proficient in each as well as having a general understanding of business and how to make money in our economy. Sales is essential to this. I would start with learning all there is to learn about sales. Then get a job that is paid on commission, you’ll make bank if you truly understand this. I’d also do a side hustle to start building in passive income. So combine sales knowledge with passive income. Once you’re getting in around 5k a month at least 1k of which is from passive income you can start branching out into other skills.
Women Come Next
Look as a guy you’re going to want to have a good sex life with beautiful women. Women play a large part in a man’s life and this is the way its supposed to be. I know others feel differently about this but this is how I see it. I want sex and as long as I’m healthy and have testosterone flowing through my veins I’ll continue to want it. And I want it with the most beautiful women. Yet with no knowledge of the way women work and what they respond too I’ll not be able to have a sex life with the beautiful women I want. Pretty simple right? Anyways learning all I can about attraction allows me to master this and get the sex life I want.
Porn is no substitute for real women and neither is prostitution. Maybe it’s the hunter in me but I get no joy from paying for sex and would feel weak because of it. Others have other opinions but that’s mine. I enjoy the dynamic of seduction and going out. I enjoy beautiful women and their company. Women are only a pain if you don’t know how to handle them and don’t put them in their place. Remember women are reactive, they respond to you. I don’t believe a man can live a full life without any interaction with women even if it’s only sexual. Master them and you’ll get the sex life you want. Once you have a couple of good looking girls who give you what you want in the rotation and know you can go out and get more anytime you want it’s time to become proficient in combat.
Combat Is Third
There was a time when combat was the ultimate skill for a man to learn. When killing was a man’s way of life. These times are long gone but that doesn’t mean this skill no longer has any value for a man. Humans will always be humans and a man must always know how to fight. Humans at their base are animals, and animals prey upon one another. You could have all the money in the world and have beautiful women surrounding you yet if some random angry thug could put you in the dirt you have very little power. The unaware and unprepared are weeded out sooner or later. This still applies. Those who are prepared and have the skills to defend themselves survive plain and simple.
Prey gets eaten and humans are no exceptions. Soft targets get destroyed. As a man you must be able to defend yourself against threats. Whether that threat is the drunk at the bar who followed you out to your car, the punk who tried to rob you, or an extremist bent on your destruction. A man must be able to fight, kill, and survive. He must understand how to use his fists, tools, surroundings, and mind to kill other men. You may say “In our society most will never have to use these skills” but all it takes is one encounter to make it all worth it. When you walk away from a potentially deadly encounter with your life it’ll all be worth it. And it’s never smart to hope that you’ll never run into violence. Hoping will never get you anything good and in this case may result in your death. Learn combat. Learn to use your fist and gun at a proficient level.
Then What?
After that you are free to pursue whatever skill gives you the most bang for you’re buck. Maybe you want to bang lots of beautiful women across the world, perhaps you want to reach Navy SEAL levels of proficiency in combat, or perhaps to want to become the next Donald Trump. No matter what I’d encourage you to constantly develop all three skills until you have them all mastered and then go even higher. Learn the skills in this order for maximum effect and best use of your time and watch your life soar to heights only dreamed about.
