For any outdoor lover people, bug out bag plays a vital role by providing him with the life-saving kits and gears when they need most. And it becomes more important if you are selecting the perfect equipment for night outing. Once you’ve set your sail, you’re on mother nature’s hand.  So, before you take an endeavor into the wilderness, give enough time for choosing what you should take with you. You shouldn’t overburden yourself and at the same time need to equip yourself with the best kits. So, what are those survival kits and gears?

Headlamp

Because of the great functionality and lightweight, a headlamp is one of the most useful night survival kits you can think of. They are small in size and can be kept in your pockets. They are really cheap and a super assistant in the jungle for you. It can help you make your way into the jungle at night. During night stay, it’ll help you for preparation of the camp, cooking and other works.

Blanket

Because you’re planning for a night outing, it’s a must for you to have an emergency blanket with you. They are really handy to use and can keep you warm enough during the night time. They are better than a space blanket. They are a lifesaver for any outing lover because of the usefulness.

Knife or Machete

One very significant gear for your survival can is a knife or machete. In the wilderness, they can help you protect yourself from wild animals, prepare the woods for fire, dig a hole for making a camp and many others. I prefer a quality machete as they have more functionality to offer. Small knives are also cool to have.

Water

Without food, you can be alive for some days. But, without water? I don’t need to explain the importance of pure drinking water here. You can find many water sources in the wild jungle but not all of them are safe to use. So, water purifier, water bottle, water reservoir all are significant items that you need to include in your list.

Cooking & Dining Kits

You need to have your meal while you’re moving in the jungle. Nowadays there are awesome handy gears and gadgets for outdoor enthusiasts. They are small, easy to carry, lightweight and super cool stuff. Some basic items are fire starter, stove, cutting board, frying pan, etc.

First Aid Kit

When you are in the wilderness, you may come up with many cuts and injuries. That’s why you need to take a first aid kit with you that includes the most common items like gauze, bandage, pain killers, saline, burn ointment and so on.

Rifles & Scopes

If you’re a hunting lover, you can also have fun while having a night outing. A compact rifle with a proper night vision scope can give you the opportunity to hunt in the jungle. You can also hunt with the available resources from the jungle, but you must have the knowledge and techniques for that.

Hygiene

You should take proper sanitation and hygiene materials with you. In the wilderness, it is very essential as food poisoning and other forms of water diseases can really harm you if you’re not careful enough. Regarding that, a small soap or hand wash can be a good option.

Navigation Materials

A GPS watch can be of great importance for navigating your way into the wilds. A smartphone can also play a pivotal part, but deep into the jungle, you may face some network problem. Besides, if you really want to disconnect yourself from the world and have a nice time with nature, a phone is a hindrance to that. A compass can be a good back up for navigation purpose.

Fire Starter

It is of great importance and usefulness. Making a fire in the camp or throughout your journey is a must and a fire starter can save your life by doing that. It is small, lightweight and super easy to handle. So, you can make fire easily and use that for cooking, boiling your water or warming your cold body during night time.

Food

You can have some nutritious and easy to carry food item with you. Some bars made from the figs and plums are a really good item that can boost your energy level. As you may not find any food source in the jungle for some time and need to maintain your energy level high, it is very important to keep the energy level high all the time.
