3 Ways To Have More Energy

Our energy is the biggest determinant of how much we get done. Well other than discipline and force of will. But nevertheless energy is a very important factor in our work capacity and our overall quality of life. Those that have more energy tend to be healthier, happier, and get more things done. While those without energy tend to be at a standstill and only do what they have to and don’t even like doing that.

Having high energy is important for making the most out of your day to day life. The more energy you have the more you are going to be able to do. So it makes sense that you take measures to maximize the amount of energy you have day in and day out. Here are three ways to make sure that you accomplish all that you can everyday and have high levels of energy to do so.

Stay Hydrated

It blew me away how much an effect making sure I stayed hydrated had on me. On everything from how clear my thoughts were, how easily I was able to do tasks, to my overall energy levels. Water is used for just about every bodily function and is the power source of so much. Without water you won’t be functioning at your best or even well. Most of us walk around dehydrated without even knowing it. And then drink thinks like tea, coffee, and soda that can make it even worse.

I first noticed the positive effects that hydration had when I was writing. When I was hydrated it was much easier for my thoughts to flow and for my writing to get out. When I was dehydrated it was like I had a fog over my brain and was slowed down. I always stayed hydrated for sports and physical activity but had no idea that it could have such an effect on mental capacity and overall energy as well. If you want to perform at your best in anything then you need to make sure that you are staying hydrated.

Ditch Porn & Masturbation

In Napoleon Hill’s great book Think & Grow Rich he talks about channeling your sexual energy into achievement and how powerful this can be. When you look back at much of the major inventions and break through most of them occurred because a man was channeling his sexual energy. Most of society’s progress has come from man using his sexual energy to achieve great things (generally so he could then expend that sexual energy on women once successful). Channeling your sexual energy is a very powerful thing and a huge source of energy.

Wasting it on porn and masturbation has a huge negative effect on this energy. It dries it up and there are no upsides. At least real sex has upsides both physiological and psychological. While porn and masturbation simply dampens this energy and dulls you. Making you more zombie like with every use. Porn is something that can at best prevent you from developing to your fullest and worst destroy and dominate you life. Eat Better

Other than hydration the rest of your energy is going to come from the food that you put into your body. Just like your mind if you put in junk then it’s going to put out junk. junk in this case being low energy and feeling like crap all of the time. Man was not meant to eat the way that he is eating. Man was not meant to be fat, have heart attacks by 50, and have low energy all of the time. Eating unnatural and unhealthy food is the cause of this. Remember you can’t out train a bad diet.

For muscle you want to make sure you are getting in lots of high quality protein, for hormones you want to make sure you’re getting lots of high quality fats, and for energy (among other things) you want to make sure you are getting in lots of nutrient dense food that is going to boost your health and energy levels. Things like greens are great for this. Even something like grinding up a bunch of greens with water and some fish oil squirted in and forcing yourself to drink it in the morning will do wonders for you’re energy throughout the day.

Summary

There are many ways to increase your energy levels the three here are some that I have found to be the most effective for me. Try them out and see for yourself. These things should be part of your daily habits and routines anyways and will go far to ensuring you have good health, high energy, and a prosperous life. So make sure you’re staying hydrated, cut out the porn and masturbation, and eat plenty of greens. You’ll be amazed at what you can do.
